Recently “evermore”, Taylor Swift’s ninth studio album, was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys. Unfortunately, it did not win, disappointing many swifties.

Evermore has been dubbed as the “forgotten album” by the fanbase since Taylor didn’t post on social media for its anniversary, something she usually does.

Evermore is probably the most underrated album in Swift’s discography. However, since its recent underappreciation, swifties have expressed their love for the album on many social media platforms. I’ve decided to take part in this appreciation.

Evermore demonstrates incredible storytelling, something that Taylor is known for. This album illustrates some of the most complex narration and vocabulary I’ve seen in an album. Each individual song has spectacular imagery and uses impeccable vocabulary.

One of my personal favorites on the album, “no body, no crime” featuring HAIM, is, in my opinion, one of the best examples of storytelling in Swift’s discography.

In the song, Taylor portrays a woman who meets up with her friend, Este, every Tuesday night for dinner. One night, Este explains how she is suspicious of her husband cheating. The next Tuesday, Este is nowhere to be found. Her husband reports his missing wife. Taylor suspects her husband was to blame, and that he killed Este. Taylor kills the husband and frames the husband's mistress to avenge her best friend.

How does someone turn a murder mystery into a song? I have no idea. But that’s just one of Swift’s incredible talents.

If you haven’t already, I recommend that you give the album “evermore” a listen. Really pay attention to the lyrics and draw your conclusions about the story Taylor is trying to convey.

It’s almost like a game!

Now more than ever, the album is getting the attention it deserves from the Taylor Swift fanbase.
